Use Ready Mash Extra for my 2 veterans...it's wonderful & they look fab on it; hard to tell if it affects their behaviour as they've always been skitty :)

British manufactures cannot hope to ever compete on price; we pay more for the buckles alone that we use on some of our bridles than you can go & buy a whole imported bridle for!!! So, if you want cheap, then it's not going to be made in the UK :-(

I'm horrified to read some of these things that you're doing to your leatherwork!! :-0 BOILING water!!! OMG.... I'm guessing you wouldn't pour boiling water over your hands (which is skin - that's alive - and so your body will repair it) so why on earth would you do that to your bridle...

You should try reins made using Biothane Supergrip (ours are called 'Sekure') They have a very smooth surface compared to the 'tackiness' of standard rubber grips or insider grip reins as it's a completely different material BUT still gives great grip!

I'm sure your local 'working' saddler would be willing to help and of course, there are still a few decent manufacturers around (us included of course!) that are more than happy to do bridles made up of different part sizes to give you the best fitting bridle. Our size chart is on our website &...

Doesn't it depend upon the "quality" of the hardware that's used as apposed to the way in which it's delivered i.e. either buckle billeted or hookstud? A cheap buckle with an ill designed tong will be far weaker than a stainless steel hookstud IMO. I think the racing regulation regarding...

All leather breastplates should be adjustable on the shoulders, body & wither straps but, if you don't need the breastplate, the best & cheapest option would be to just have a neckstrap! We have measurement charts on our online store which may help you see where you need to measure if you do...
