Yes horses can get Lyme, if they appear very lethargic and really just not right it is worth mentioning to the vet they were bitten. It can take up to 6 weeks for any symptoms to show up. Hope the info below helps.:)

The best advice on this thread about ticks...never ever smother a tick as it will reguritate, and it can do this faster than you can burn, smother etc...the tick twisters are the safest removal tool on the market and proven to remove the mouthparts. Nice to see someone knows how to remove them...
