Can anyone help? Tanishco van de middelstede is the sire of my friend's mare, and apparently covered a mare called Griffin in 2001. We are desperately trying to trace details of the stallion and if possible get a copy of the covering certificate.
Thank you :)
I used it for my old horse who was arthritic, and it worked a treat - he came completely sound on it. Our other old pony who had lami and arthritis was also much more comfortable on it.
i also gave it to Tia when she was still a bit footsore after an abscess, and not only did it relieve the...
I took my staff X a few years ago - it was great fun, but once she had learnt to operate the release pad for the ball, she spent the whole session running round releasing everyone else's ball and stealing the balls!!
We only went a couple of times because it was an hour and a half each way and...
Last night I managed to hack out after work for the first time this year. It was 5.40pm by the time i was setting off, and just starting to get dark, so I decided to do the road stretch first (about a mile), and then onto the bridleway which comes back round to the back of the farm. As we came...
Although I trust my vet completely, I chose to have the knacker man come out when we had Tojo PTS, as I thought he had far more experience. Although Tojo was a nervous pony, the Knacker man was very gentle with him, and it was over in a matter of seconds. Having seen horses pts by injection and...
A friend of mine a few years ago sent her daughter's showjumping pony to a well known trainer / ex-showjumper for schooling (at huge cost!). Over the weeks, she noticed that the pony had been rubbing it's magnificent full white tail, and although no longer 'full of it' and naughty, wasn't a lot...
In memory of my darling girls Shanzee and Abby, both with me 12 years.
Shanzee came to me from the dogs home where she had ended up after being thrown out of a car. She was my little shadow and my best friend. Sadly she collapsed and died out on a walk 16th November 2008. She is missed terribly...
I have a Fylde Ray show saddle with the suede seat and knee rolls. It is the most gorgeous thing I have ever sat on, and well worth the money. I had to have it made to measure for my very wide cob, and got an excellent service from Fylde.
We have been out in all weathers this season, and have...
Wish I hadn't read it - brought back memories of my 2 darling girls I lost a month ago - one came from the dog pound, the othr was found beaten and left for dead in a skip. I had a wonderful 12 years with them. Then little Shanzee collapsed and died out on a walk, and a couple of days later, I...
Ours were the same on Saturday - we had loads of snow the previous week, and it all melted on Friday and overnight Saturday with the heavy rain - as the ground underneath was still frozen solid, it all just ran down into Tia's stable. We had to take out most of her shavings bed and start again.
Sadly I lost little Shanzee dog on Sunday morning while we were out on our walk with Abby the lurcher. She was running round sniffing and playing one minute, and the next minute I couldn't see her. I walked back down the lane and found her collapsed in the lane. She died a couple of minutes...
Your house insurance company should be able to provide cover for Personal belongings away from home (it usually has to be specified individually). It is better cover than on a horse policy and works out much cheaper too.
I have had my 14 year old lurcher on Incurin tablets for the last 6 weeks and she seems much improved. Her incontinence had become really bad, not just the odd little accident.
I haven't noticed any side effects particularly, but if it was making her spaced out, I probably wouldn't notice that...
i work full time and until recently had three horse to do (one was PTS last month).
It is hard work, but you can find time saving routines. I deep litter on shavings and just skip out every day.
I make up enough haynets for the whole week at the weekend, and also poo pick at the weekends. We...
