    Boots or bandages for work?

Has anyone used these? http://www.equilibriumproducts.com/leg_protection/stretch_amp_flexreg_flatwork_wraps/ Also can you get pony sized bandages? I have some back from when I had my ISH but they are too long for him!

    Boots or bandages for work?

Hi he's in med/hard work, 6 days a week, mixture of schooling, hacking, jumping & XC, he also does interval training once a week on a steep hill. He doesn't brush or over-reach but is now on a couple of weeks field rest in a small paddock with a suspected check ligament strain. Due to this I...

    Boots or bandages for work?

As my pony is now on field rest I'm thinking ahead to when he come back into work. He is ridden quite a lot and I want to make sure that we don't have a repeat of Monday/yesterday! Would you recommend boots or bandages for ridden work? If boots, which ones - brushing/tendon/SMB's?

Tendon or paranoia! (Also in Vet)

Well I am a natural worrier so as you can imagine the last 24 hours haven't been fun... There's been a slight change of plan, following another quick consult with the vet he is out in a slightly larger grass paddock with sports boots on (I have the pair with the extra tendon support - Paul...

I have gel boots which you put in the fridge, I plan to put one on and then that loses the coolness then put the other one on. Today I put an old boot on his leg and then put the hose in the boot for 20 mins, I moved the hose from one side to the other after 10 mins.

Thanks again, sorry if I came across as argumentative :o Will carry on with the cold hosing 2/3 times a day and he'll either have bandages or sports boots on.

Does anyone have geese on their yard?

We have geese but they are shut away at night to keep the foxes from getting them. The male is an utter sod!!

Tendon or paranoia! (Also in Vet)

Hi thanks, I buted him because it's an anti-inflammatory as well as a pain killer. He's only had one sachet which should be out of his system by tomorrow morning if I do need to get the vet out. As said there is very little lameness, I don't even think it's 1/10

Hi thanks, surely if it was a tendon it would be more swollen/more heat? He'll go out in the paddock in the morning with sports boots on, paddock is about 6x4m

Tendon or paranoia! (Also in Vet)

Hi took my boy for a short hack round the block after a show yesterday. Walk and trot on the road he felt fine but when coming back to trot after a short canter he was lame on his near fore for about 3 strides then fine again. Led him back to the yard and trotted him up, he is fine on the...
