    What's Felbridge like?

Really nice arenas and people, courses have been well built, but very spooky!

Getting a nappy horse through the start line

I think you can only walk or trot, not canter!

Getting a nappy horse through the start line

Try to leave it until the last second to go into the start box, if you nicely explain to the steward before that this is what you are going to do, they should be fine with it! Just walk/trot a circle close by during the count down and enter the start box at about 3 secs to go so there's no...

    Hacking to lesson/clinics etc

I would do it if the horse is fit enough. You could plan to arrive a bit early and take a snack or something if you want a break before the lesson!

My Boys Jumping, Videos - CC welcome

Goli looks lovely! Seems to be enjoying himself and exciting for the future! Your older one looks good too, the only thing I would say is to concentrate on having the correct bend in between fences. Really think about bending him around your leg which will help to keep the shoulders out, and to...

    draw rein techinque..

Yes! On my ultra sensitive skinned tb x, I tried putting some sheepskin sleeves around the reins, which helped. With my other wb x tb its not a problem though.

    Cross Country in Kent?

Chilham Park is about half an hour away from you and is lovely! http://www.chilhampark.com/default.aspx Or Denne Hill, closer to Canterbury is also good: http://www.dennehillfarms.co.uk/denne_hill_cross_country.html

    Retraining Racehorses into Eventing

I'd say go for it, just be careful and don't rush! I think that the best route to finding one is to contact a few localish trainers and see if they have anything suitable. Hopefully they will be more honest and you'll get more info about the horse than if buying at the sales. Also with the...

    Thinning a mane...

I second the mane raking making the plaits messy, if the mane is really thick, I would spend about 5 mins after each ride pulling to keep it under control. Its no good trying to do it all in one go with a really thick mane!

    Veteran Insurance

I didn't like the Petplan veteran policy when I spoke to them on the phone, they were very cagey about what they would actually pay for, as wouldn't pay out for an injury if it could be related to aging joints etc. (Have always insured with them before and they have been great though!) Instead I...

    Which hood..

I love snuggy hoods, have tried a couple of cheaper versions but they ended up moving about and rubbing the plaits! Have had one of mine for about 3 years and still going strong, I often do plaits the night before and turn out in it and they are still good in the morning!

    Help with grazing muzzle! Greenguard??

I have a shires one for our shettie, last summer she had the same reaction as your pony by the sounds of things and really couldnt get the hang of it. This spring in an attempt to avoid having to separate her from the rest I took some garden shears to it and made the hole a little bit bigger...
