A Riding Hat safety Idea.. opinions?

Charles Owen do offer a service where they will check whether the hat has incurred any damage. Its free of charge apart from the cost of the postage, they will also offer a price on refurbing parts of the hat such as harness, recovering etc. I imagine they will only do it for their hats though :-)

I'm trying to decide whether to treat myself to a Nuumed saddle cloth, I just wanted some feedback as to whether they are worth paying that bit more? Any advice greatly received!! :-)

Charles Owen all the way I have a Pro II which is really comfortable, can't go wrong with a Charles Owen they are safe, stylish and comfy! Just be aware with the cheaper makes that it still meets the safety standards, even tho you only hack you still need to know it will save your life if the...

    Justtogs .vs. Charles and Owen.

All Charles Owen hats are handmade in the UK, I bet Just togs buy their hats from huge manufacturers in the far east, I would buy Charles Owen every time.. you only have one head!

Deosect - good for sweet itch?

Has anyone had any experience with Deosect as an effective control against sweet itch? I Read an article saying that trials have been carried out and it showed that midges died on contact. You only have to put it on once a month too. Just wondered if anyone has used it? I do use the Boett...

    what to do??

If you didn't want to sell to a dealer and you're paying £400/month in livery why don't you send her to be professionally schooled?! My young section D has just come back from being schooled, it cost £120/wk for full livery and he was ridden 6 days a week. He was there for 3 weeks in total and...

Ever heard of Thuja as a treatment for Sarcoids?

My Welsh Section D has recently developed a Sarcoid between his front legs. Not that I'm too worried as he's an absolute star in every way and wouldn't swap him for anything. Someone told me I could give him Thuja a homeopathic remedy that I could buy in boots. has anyone used this before and is...

    Which hat to buy? . . .

I would go for the Charles Owen Wellington Classic or the JW! The GPA's are not anywhere near as safe... Billy Twomey had a horrendous fall in his and it smashed into many pieces - he was concussed for 40min! Just not worth the risk in my opinion! The Harry Hall is also cheap for a reason...

    Malin Bayard's riding boot

They do look better in black... that's the colour Sophie Heaven was jumping in and they looked pretty cool! I think it's good that companies like Puma & Nike are beginning to take an interest in equestrianism!

    Malin Bayard's riding boot

Had a quick search on them and found image on: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v113/emidala/05_baryard.jpg Also go to http://www.tretorn.com/ click on 'rubber' and then 'performance'. Apparantly they have been designed by Puma who actually own the company Tretorn.

    Malin Bayard's riding boot

I first saw these boots at Olympia, Malin Bayard was competing in them, recently I saw Sophie Heaven wearing them and I have to say I would LOVE to try them! The idea of not having to break in new boots and riding in the 'sports trainer' for the equestrian athlete really appeals to me! At first...
