    Dangerous Horse

Good question, and to be honest, I haven't got a clue what the law would be like regarding that one. I suppose it would depend on how the horse "attacked" someone. As I suppose a horse that might kick someone and hit them in the head (causing them to die) might not be classed as a deliberate...

Saddle fitter in the North East?

Can anyone recommend a good professional saddle fitter somewhere in the North East of the UK?

    Feeding 11wk pup dry food

Dry will be absolutely fine - it'll help her gnash away on her gums a bit to help her "baby" teeth come through if nothing else!

    Welsh pony friends wanted!

Welcome to the forums! I used to live not too far away from the showground of the Royal Welsh Show - it is a spectacular part of the world and one which I miss living in. I'll have a think about some hotels, B'n'Bs, etc. that I would suggest getting in touch with.

    Anyone ever left their dogs?

Ahhh nice one, do I focus your rescue work on just dogs or all sorts of critters? I work for the RSPCA which is just a cattery at the moment but (fingers crossed!) this time next year will have a massive kennels too. Yay!

    Meeting other dogs advice

Can't really add much more to what has already been suggested here but if your dog is almost deaf then its even more reason to take something out with you that smells strongly - some whiffy cheese, tasty chicken or anything really that your dog enjoys. That way you can use her nose to distract...

    Anyone ever left their dogs?

No probs! I can provide a list as long as your arm for kennels to NOT use! Can I be nosey and ask what you do? Just with you saying "we often get asked for kennel recommendations" it suggests you're involved in the field in a professional capacity or something similar!? (I'm a right...

    What would you do?

I would recommend hitting your nearest rescues/rehoming centres - there is an ever increasing number of dogs needing new homes (many of which are lab crosses, springer crosses and of course the ever-popular bull dog crosses) so if you're after something like a springer cross or lab cross or...

    Anyone ever left their dogs?

Hehehe, wow, your dogs live in the lap of luxury - essentially they have their own "wing" in your house!! We use Lanchester Pet Resort, funnily enough in a small town/village called Lanchester just outside Durham. Definitely the best ones we've found.

    Strange behaviour from Collie

I would agree with those who think she might've had something happen outside that might've scared her a bit - as you know, Collies pick up on EVERYTHING so it might be something that you didn't notice at the time or indeed it might not have seemingly bothered her at the time (hence you didn't...

    Anyone ever left their dogs?

11 dogs!?!? EEK you must have a helluva big house Cala!! I've never done this before - we usually stick our two in kennels whilst we're away but its taken 3 and a bit years to find a kennels we would use again. Our Collie is quite timid/shy with strangers so she usually doesn't appreciate...

    Dog Borstal- BBC3

As an animal behaviourist/dog trainer/call me what you like (within reason!!) I really enjoy watching both The Dog Whisperer and Dog Borstal - both programmes (in my opinion) approach things from a common-sense perspective. Cesar Milan goes by the theory of "exercise, discipline then...
