    Very poorly mare, neurological

Just been to see her, vet is doing all blood tests. She actually looked a little better :) Asked him about the selenium (thank you Sarah ;)) and he'll look into that too although he doubted that it was that because of the one sided aspect of the problem. However, friend did say that this...

    Very poorly mare, neurological

Hi, I'd be interested to know if anybody else has experienced this. Just to say before she is staying at the vets under veterinary supervision so this obviously isn't asking for a diagnosis, more of a what could it be? Basically, my friend's nine year old mare suddenly started staggering...

Cheer me up, what's to look forward to in the UK?

Well the weather here's much the same. I think that he'll get more turn out in the UK which will suit my horse better.

Cheer me up, what's to look forward to in the UK?

Coming back because it's been 4 years away and I miss my big Sis :D Also, the economy has picked up and there's work again in my field :) I'm a bit nervous as I've got more experience in horses over here than in the UK now, there's some bits and bobs where I'm not sure what the word is in...

Cheer me up, what's to look forward to in the UK?

So I'm returning to the UK next week with horse. The problem is that he's been at the transporter's yard since Saturday :( with all his papers  So after a hugely stressful day or so I've now calmed down after the transporter has contacted me. I now just have a large, horse shaped hole...

Transporters to/from Europe and East Midlands?

hi Not been on here for a while! Can anybody recommend a company to transport a horse from Belgium to the UK (east midlands)? Obviously for a reasonable price and not involving a huge European tour. I'm really interested in one's with a good reputation. (Or not ;-)) Thanks in...

Coughing at the end of winter

 Janette, I'm in the UK at the moment so I hope he doesn't get anything like that for the girl looking after him! Thanks for all your advice. I'm hoping to completely change his environment and move back to the UK so he should get turned out more in the winter. I'm pretty sure this is...

Coughing at the end of winter

He hasn't been scoped for anything yet. He's bedded on straw and has hay in the morning. No turnout at the moment. But, all factors were the same last year except the outside box and he was ok
