Thanks, but is there such a thing as a nathe with a lozenge? Tried a regular loose ring nathe and she seems to prefer the mobility of the lozenge better, she was leaning a bit on the nathe. It also seemed quite big in her mouth?
Hi All
Long time no post!! Wonder if you might be able to help me with a query. I have a very sensitive mare who is rather fussy in her contact. I have tried loads of bits and she is by far the happiest in a simple loose ring happy mouth with lozenge. However she does chew on these and I am...
Thanks cp, that's all really interesting. Can I ask the name of the injection you are considering? I may speak to my vet about it and see if she thinks it's appropriate x
I hadn't considered ulcers as been on a digestive supplement as a preventive measure and would have thought that ulcers would show as bilateral pain? She's not girthy at all either
Good suggestion but although her teats are swollen there is no heat or hardness and vet didn't seem to think it was that when he did the blood test. I am really stumped but will get them re looked at when she goes in
Hi all, I have got my mare booked in with the vet for various scans to try and get to the bottom of what's going on but in the meantime I was hoping someone might be able to offer inspiration or insight.
She started being backwards a few months ago so got her a new saddle and a very good back...

It's dependent on many things I think. I have recently returned to full livery after many years on diy and am at a fantastic yard. By the time I have factored in hay bedding and feed plus fuel twice a day there isn't a lot in it. For the difference I have absolute peace of mind if I am held up...
Amen to this - I had a very unspectacular unplanned dismount in the school a couple of months back, thought I had winded myself but turns out I broke three ribs in the process. Definitely don't bounce as well as I did when younger, as a twenty something year old I had some crunching falls on...
Mark Todd's Charisma was tiny!!!! And he didn't do too badly! Likewise Stroller. There are loads of smaller horses jumping big tracks - I feel sick just watching what some of the better 128s get up to!!!! I would much rather get a talented 15.2 than try to hold a 17.2 together into a fence!
