it's unfortunately way too true to object to! I will probably be crucified for saying this but some parents just need to learn when to say NO! and just invest in some really DECENT instruction! 9/10 times the child hates having a hard lesson, but when you've been taught how to ride properly[I]...
I certainly agree that children should be judged separately from adults, I just also think we need to consider the size of mount too. Although you do come across those 14.2's that are AMAZING (and I have to say I think my lady may just be one of those, but we'll have to wait and see) it is not...
Why is it that equestrian sports are the only ones where height is legally discriminated against? In all 3 of the main disciplines you cannot compete at a high level on a pony and I cannot for the life of me understand why? We are failing to shake the oldfashioned and outdated idea that whether...

It's awful to think that someone could put people and animals lives in danger by doing this! Nevertheless as this is a public footpath I hope the horses are fenced separately from the path. A bit of electric fencing to separate the horses from the public path is well worth it! I only say this...
Both of the mares I have had recently have had times where they have been impossible to catch  with one of them, if she was having a 'moment' I had to either bribe with food or make her work, keep sending her away from me, make her change direction etc so I was winning and eventually...
I have heard of Ceder Farm as a friend of a friend has her pony there and it appears to be really nice from what I have seem of it :-) no idea about Manor though I'm afraid!
Well you learn something new every day! :-) My pony is registered as dun on her passport but clearly from the definitions described she is buckskin! She sort of has a dorsal strip but its more shading I reckon as it's not black like her legs it's dark golden and in the summer light (haahaa...
ahhhhh thank you for that! I never knew it would come up in 'other messages'. Friendship request sent so hopefully the message I sent will also come up and she won't think I am some strange person lol if that fails then a good old fashioned letter it will have to be!
After contacting both via facebook, no reply :-( do I try again or just accept that I may never know this mare's history? Her passport is useless as everything on it Dam/Sire all unknown! All it has is a description of her and the year she was foaled! Maybe it's my inquisitive mind but I just...
I would say it's probably a combination of the above 'weather and season'. My mare has not reacted well to her first season (or 2) this year, although remaining well mannered on the ground, as this is something I always insist on, she has become virtually unrideable whilst she is in season...
As of yet no response from Coreen or Cara :( fingers crossed I hear back tomorrow! Just want to understand some of the mares little 'quirks' :p so much easier if you know their history!
Thanks hippo-horse I shall definitely not be letting her sneak a cheeky mouthful any more :p what's more difficult to manage is her possessiveness over food! The minute she has a haynet, if anyone goes to her stable door her ears go back and she does her best shark impression! She also detests...
