I'm originally from Clevedon and have a lot of friends still there. Unfortunately, I don't think you will have much luck with any of the DIY yards with a Colt.

Think of all that training and experience if you get a riding club/competition horse/pony.
I would rather spend my money on that now than a green youngster with all that hard work ahead of you.

Thanks Hobbitpony for putting things into perspective for me :-) I don't actually want to compete at affliated level anymore. I've just turned 40 and I love M&M's and would love another welsh cob or highland to hack, RC and show at local level.

Yards are a big problem here too..... don't think that is helping either - i have looked at one - but all the rest seem to be 30 mins away - I do DIY and don't want to be that far away.
