My stables are 16ft by 16ft and I have a very deep thick bed, to start i used 13 bags in each stables and then 2 bags of miscanthus on top. It became stable after a day or so and I put in a new bag every 10 - 14 days.
Im afraid chesterfield area is £££ for anything with land, as is north notts which would be travelable. It does however have a big equestrian community so land may be possible to rent

I have very old, patchy concrete, so it's not great. I have been using wood pellets, lots, dry and deep initially, they soon firm up with moisture in air and from ground, horse. Then I top up with miscanthus and really like this
Speaking for solidarity! My gelderlander is now 19, I bought him as a 6 year old and he was totally psychotic. He is naturally very edgy and anxious, even now, but TRT had a massive impact on his life. I also use horse first Relax Me calmer, which has helped
