If a horse on your yard broke it's leg...

would wait for vet, they are qualified in doing this and do it well and also for insurance purposes you may need someone other than a YO to do, when my boy broke his leg i knew that if the vet said there was no chance to save him then i had a proffesional advice, sadly there was nothing that...

    Hard Decision

why dont you think of getting a sharer, that way your mare will get more work and maybe easier to ride and this will help with bills and time, mares can be difficult ( i have a chestnut one) but you have to remember they are entire so will have hormonal moments!

Re sharers, how does it work for you???

my friend has 3 sharers for her horse who has ringbone and copd, he can only do limited work and no jumping and they are all happy to cooperate with the owners wishes, she has now bought a new young horse to do jumping etc and she knows that her other horse is being well cared for and not being...

    Condition & feeding question

i would replace the cool mix with either a conditioning mix or you could try spillers response slow release competition mix, it is based on fibre and oil so will not cause any spooky behaviour, it is like the gi diet, it will give slow release energy so your horse doesnt get a massive sugar rush...

    Can anyone recommend.........

the best one is carr day & martin, they also make the canter/gallop range, it has a pinkish label on it and it leaves tails soft and mud resistant but not sticky or greasy
