Just to add that I have had an amigo fly rug and was very disappointed with the quality. As a rule I like the amigo rugs ... the stable rugs and turnouts have been great and fit really well. But the fly rug just looked very cheap and weakly made. My horse ripped it very quickly.

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a waterproof fly rug. There seems to be quite a few out there - bucas, shires, masta, weatherbeeta, pessoa, premier equine ... But would like to hear reviews before I make my choice!
I used to have several PE rugs. All fitted well and none leaked but I did find them a lot heavier and harder to dry out once wet. This, along with the increase in price means I can no longer justify them.
This is something I had to go through in April when I had to make the hard decision to have my horse put to sleep after 17 years together. Because it was planned I had almost a week to make the arrangements.
