New haylage going right thru horse!

Is anyone else having issues with this? The new batch of haylage that was delivered to the yard is very green and still smells like cut grass rather than haylage. My horse has gone very runny and hay wasn’t an option to swap him onto so think I’m going to have to go buy him a bale! Does anyone...

    Which bit would you suggest.

It's definitely worth a try, I bought a Beris one with the harder mouthpiece. They are quite expensive but don't mind spending the money when you finally find something that works!

    Broncing horse

Oh that's not great I don't mind bucking and broncing but I am really not a fan of rearers! Sounds like a pretty determined boy! You have to keep safe if there's nothing physically wrong then you don't want to keep putting yourself or others in danger? You could try turning him away for a...

    Which bit would you suggest.

Have you tried a snaffle with a ported mouthpiece? One of my guys is really strong but a friend suggested trying her ported fulmer it has a plastic mouthpiece and he schools amazing in it! It's the first bit I have managed to school him in where he works consistent and soft and I have basically...

    Broncing horse

Like above if you've had all the checks done then I would really try and work on pushing thru it I had a serial broncer and did it when he was asked to work properly he would quite happy work on a loose rein all day long but as soon as you asked anything of him he would Buck, cow kick, anything...

    Best girths

I use the fairfax girth for flatwork on mine, it's leather both ends and since using them I definitely feel a difference compared to when I used a plain leather girth! My studgirths are prestige they are lovely soft leather and are elasticated both ends! So I guess that's not much help lol! I...

    livery yards are stressful!

In what I have seen so far the YO has her own little posse! I think she could be quite the handful...and there definitely seems to be some giant personalities at this place! don't get me wrong it's a lovely yard and everything is kept clean and tidy, it's just the people that I think will rattle...
