I'm going, will be my 4th GCT event for the year. If you can go, it's really worth it as they know how to put on an excellent show.

    Rider Fitness & Diet

Yes, defo add some clean carbs in to try and get more energy. I will try and add planks, bridges etc to my routine. Remember doing this ages ago from Bootcamp (and I remember being very sore afterwards!). Kick boxing sounds a bit extreme but will look into it :)

    Rider Fitness & Diet

I completely agree with you NZJenny - I should mention, due to health issues I do keep to a relatively strict/healthy diet that should follow most rules of the paleo diet. I think I will just add a few more carbs to help keep the energy levels up.

Daydreamer, I am going to the place you have suggested. She is absolutely fabulous - 45 min private lesson and I am spent! Brilliant for confidence and she puts the jumps right up :) I am going to have to google cagefitness as I have no idea what this is!

    Rider Fitness & Diet

You are right - I am trying to mix things up. Tomorrow my gym is hosting this class that is a cross between yoga & pilates, by the sounds of it should be perfect! Bodypump looks a bit scary - can first time numpties join these classes?

Hello all, I have returned to riding (in particular show jumping) after a 2 year break. Although I don't have my own horse yet, I have found a brilliant instructor with lovely horses and riding once a week (soon to also compete twice a month). This instructor I have found is correcting a lot of...

Riding Schools near London with a great emphasis on show jumping

Hello all, Thank you for your suggestions. I will definately take a look at Wildwoods, Kings Oak, Wellington & Talland. Unfortunately Kingston Riding School do not offer what I am looking for (in regards for longer-term lessons, short-term they would be fine). Daydreamer, I have PM'd you :)

Hello, I am seeking some advice for a decent riding school that is close to London with a greater emphasis on show jumping? I have had a break for the last 2 years and would love to get back into the sport but before jumping straight into either horse ownership or sharing, I need to have quite...

    Quick Q- BS Intro shows?

I also highly recommend Pyecombe, not only do they give out free tickets but they have a very decent course with interesting looking jumps. Worth the trip.

How much to purchase? Or is a loan/loan to purchase possible?

Hello Carlos, He sounds perfect for what I am wanting but sadly I will not be in the horse market until Oct-Dec time. Good luck selling him, he sounds lovely :)

How much to purchase? Or is a loan/loan to purchase possible?

Thanks be positive, I think I would prefer a 4yo over a produced 5 or 6yo. Good idea with Horsequest, I may post a wanted ad closer to the time there to see if anything is available in regards to loaning.

Thank you MissAdelaide, that was around the ball park figure I was thinking of :) For a youngster that hasn't done much that seems reasonable!

How much to purchase? Or is a loan/loan to purchase possible?

Hello :) I used to be a member of HHO a while ago. I used to own a beautiful horse (once in a lifetime) that I was forced to sell. I was completely gutted about this. Although I have been keeping myself busy with travels, I just having this growing feeling of emptiness without owning a horse...
