    No More Dressage at Belmoredean

Sadly Belmoredean is closing for hire for anything, hence dressage going. Such a nice dressage venue as well , very sad .

Milly is really lovely , this absolutely won’t be a scam. Just maybe a bit young and naive She loves the horse and obviously wants to keep him, the owners clearly have her over a barrel as it seems they are offering her him at a price or saying they will send him abroad to be sold. They don’t...

    Vet appointment availability

Yes, in our diary we have some book online slots, some for telephone calls and some for booking in the day. That way we can manage the day and keep slots for things that need seeing quicker. Sure they will see you soon if you call. In the meantime is cat up to date with prescription flea control...

    Sore Roxie Dog

You and your vets are doing all the right things It does sound like a back/ disc issue X-ray pointless as not going to show anything If they sent you for referral with no neurological deficits, the referral wouldn’t do an mri at this point. Just crate rest and pain killers . Physio not a...

I usually take one or two presoaked nets plus a bag of haylage Worth experimenting a bit as mine much prefers some haylage to others.

Progressive Earth v. ForagePlus vit E

I’m feeding natural vitamin e capsules from Amazon , 1000 mg capsules work out to less than 10 p each. Seems way cheaper and easier but is there some reason I shouldn’t be doing this ? Weirdly my pony that won’t eat Omeprazole capsules, will happily eat them.

6 monthly prescription by vets - befuddled!

I’m confused as the company should have the prescription on file, with the number of repeats on it. Vets should only be sending it once. Have you tried just ordering online from the same company ?

    Trotting issues with horse

People are blaming the riding school as they advised the OP that this would be a suitable horse to buy . Obviously it’s their choice to ride it or not if it just appeared from nowhere but it didn’t , they advised her to buy it. They should have said “ no, that’s a terrible idea, please don’t “...

    Trotting issues with horse

At the risk of simplifying things too much for you, sorry if teaching my grandmother to suck eggs . Your riding school sounds so unhelpful and has given you terrible advice from start to finish here. You say you can’t move as you don’t have any other riding schools that do livery near you, my...

    Coralling over the winter

The mesh is better anyway, wood makes the gate things too heavy to use and move .

    BD facebook advertising

It’s a bit odd, but they were at associated champs giving out free samples, which is jolly handy so I won’t complain. What I don’t appreciate is the sales emails purportedly from BD but actually just random stuff

Who is the associated championships for?

It’s interesting that some classes go to higher levels and some don’t. I can understand veteran riders going up as they have been doing it for longer and are riding anything , but natives and part bred natives go above medium as well. Do you think they originally thought there was no demand ...

Who is the associated championships for?

No, they aren’t , placings are 1 to 10 across all the sections combined but with an extra first place for each section as well. Sort of makes it even more unfair as most classes have loads of bronze and silver and a few gold , so gold riders have even more chance to bag a prize

Who is the associated championships for?

No, not inspiring at all ! They can go and inspire others at regionals thank you very much 😜

    Vet Monopolies

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a complete boomer , one of the big issues here is the rise of gold standard veterinary care in every instance. I know we all want the best for our pets, but that’s why prices have gone up. 20 years ago, if something came in that needed a quick stitch up with...
