Thanks all. I've now spoken to my vet who is fully supportive. I imagine I'm in a bit of a grey area, but worth investigating so will see what happens next. It's time time to call it a day regardless of what happens with the insurance. LOU will certainly be less of a kick in the teeth if it does...
Thanks, that was my understanding too. Technically she should be able to get back to it, but I would prefer to retire her as think she has had it mentally. My vet understands the difficult situation we are in, but I hadn't mentioned LOU yet to them.
Hi
Following an injury that has been technically medically resolved I am left with an unrideable horse - can anyone advise on LOU? I have this insurance on her for a high level of competition - and won't be a hack due to dangerous behaviour when ridden that appeared with the onset of the...
Hi there
Is he rubber necking when bolting, or setting neck in a pull and bolting? I've had more joy resolving the setting neck variety. Anyway - bolting is terrifying! I'd be inclined to think apart from the usual suggestions; eyes, and brain ... facial nerve pain (have a look at Budras's book...
Hi - have PM'd you, he really has been great - a lovely guy and great with horses. If he were a human physio I think the ladies would be most definitely abusing his services too!

Soaked sugarbeet nuts
Barley (soaked, or unsoaked or warm depending on the fusspot)
Milkpellets - found...
How's the depression presenting? Young horses can get a bit overwhelmed physically/mentally or bored at times, an emerging tooth or grumbling sinus/horse headache can present with depression. I've had an old horse appearing a bit blue but nothing else, which was the liver in bloods, and a young...
Hi, bought a couple of these nz rugs around 3-4 years ago, and trying to find them again as I like the fit - can anyone help? I can't seem to find a stockist online
Thanks
Thanks splotchy and harkback. I've asked for a referral to vet school - so will update with any findings. Today, zantac syrup has helped him keep down his water and he has peed (hurrah), instead of vomiting blood and water everywhere. The jack is standing guard lying infront of his sleeping...
