Thank you all for your help! I'll look into the rounded end ones as they seem the best. I have a pretty solid leg position and this particular pony is trained to Grand Prix and has been to the pony Europeans so with her it's more about refining the leg aids in the more challenging movements so...
my instructor has told me to get some spurs for when i ride a particular horse to give her more encouragement and to help flying changes and extended trot etc have more impulsion. (she knows how good she is so sometimes can be a bit lazy!)
I'm a bit stumped as to which ones to buy? I've never...
Shires Norfolk leather long boots are my fave- easy to keep clean and comfy (once broken in!) good quality leather as well. Around £120 I think but I could be wrong.
I used to get so worked up about SJ, my confidence just went once the jumps went up. Recently, I booked a lesson on a schoolmaster with one of the senior instructors, and I was jumping the highest I've ever jumped! Then you can "bottle" that feeling and remember the buzz you get from it, and try...
Exactly the same thing happened to me last night - I live near surrey and my dog was shaking he was so scared of them. It's annoying seeing as the fireworks had been going off since around 8pm - local authorities should surely just create one big display ending at a reasonable time, which would...
On the bhs website there should be a recommended reading list? And I think (don't quote me on this) there's a stage 3&4 revision notes book because I think I've seen one online. If your going to do a course maybe ask the center what books they recommend x

I live in SW London/surrey too, and ride at Wellington Riding every week. If you can get there its well worth the travel as my (very nervous) mother has had lessons on a very confidence giving dressage school master on the lunge who has been a saint, but hes also used for the advanced riders as...
I bought a gatehouse hs1 hat at olympia in December, but recently I've noticed its feeling very loose, like i can move it nearly off my head no matter how much i tighten the neckstrap, which doenst seem to be safe...
Is there any padding i can put in to make it a bit more secure on my head? and...
Not sure if its a bit far for you but highly reccommend Wellington Riding PC, been riding there for ages and heard fantastic things about the pony club there as facilities are outstanding. I travel 45 mins to get there as its the best in the SE in my opinion.
Not sure whether we were using ours right but didnt find they worked, his urine still wrecked the lawn! The best thing for us was to pour a jug of water over where he had just weed, but obviously this cant be done every single time but it does reduce the amount of patches if you remember to...
