Yeah, mainly wanting to remove staining. His mane and tail used to be much lighter. His mane/tail isn't just one general colour, it's not chestnut and it's not blonde either. It's a whole spectrum of colours, he has black, white, blonde, dark chestnut, chestnut and grey hairs. Majority of them...
So supposedly purple is the opposite of yellow. Purple shampoo is usually used on white hair with yellow stains to lighten it. What would happen if you put purple shampoo on the mane and tail of a flaxen chestnut? 80% of his mane and tail is a light blonde or white, would it lighten his mane and...
Sorry I don't know where they're from. I'm part of a horse group and I just keep seeing photos of horses with tack like this and I've never seen it before in my country :)
I keep seeing images of horses wearing what I can only describe as a halter. Most of them sit really low on the nose, sometimes even below it and are made with a thick rope. What's the name of them and what's their purpose? Why do they sit so low?

This could sound like a stupid question but is there such thing as a person who can change the gullet size of a saddle if it doesn't fit? A friend of mine insisted there was however I've never heard of it. I've found a dressage saddle I love however the seller doesn't know the gullet size, would...
We soak the feeds heaps, especially the ones with copra. Even though it might say on the packaging or website it can be eaten dry, unfortunately it's caused a lot of horses problems so it's quite dangerous if we don't soak every bit of it :)
Thanks! The second photo was after 6 months of owning him, he was much worse. He used to be severely ewe necked, had a massive bump like kissing spine on his back, his head looked way too big for his body and he had no topline...like none. I remember the day I saw half an inch of crest on his...
Hiya!
Trying to get my rescue into tip top shape and I just noticed his hind quarters appear to be horribly sunken in. Just below the hip and above the stifle. It has gotten much better over the past year but unlike the rest of his body, it hasn't improved much. I've heard dehydration can...
