Random question.... Which would be more work?

We haven't so far... There's two entrances and the lorry park is just within a huge estate, it's very easy to just unhitch away out of site OK. That was one of my main thoughts originally also!

Random question.... Which would be more work?

Yes driving the horse lol That was my thinking too, though we have water etc available there so no buckets etc I need to take. Plus he's covered in plaits and is a xc event so not too worried about brushes etc he'll stay quite clean and only doing one qualifier class anyway...

Random question.... Which would be more work?

Hacking or driving 4/5 miles to a competition? We (walk) hack there normally but pondering which would be less hard work? (light two wheel vehicle) Thanks! 😊

    Would you hack this far?

Yep without a thought. Hack nearly 6 miles to our 'local' hunter trial a few times a year.

Judge Rinder - horses and pigs

Never had an issue with them with Coblet. The B&B we go to each year has pig's on it where we unload.... Didn't treat them any different to any other livestock. Known a few to hate them though.

Do you dream about PTS after the event?

Yes I still do. I have very 'real' dreams about still having mine at times. It's a very odd feeling waking up after one, as I think I feel at peace with what happened on a day to day basis..... Then waking up sometimes to thinking I still have the two horses down the yard waiting for me...

Saddle suggestions for a wide Gypsy Cob

I don't find wintecs are the right shape personally, too banana shaped for cobs. They suit flatter trees I find. Just because it's an xxxw wintec, doesn't mean it's still not wide enough it's more than likely just not the right shape for him. Mine suits flatter panels, flat seat and low cantle.

Saddle suggestions for a wide Gypsy Cob

I have a Farrington which sits on mine nicely. Given up on anything jumping cut as no room on him with my legs so we do struggle a bit jumping bigger jumps as knees come up over the knee rolls riding shorter.

Horse insurance & value of horse?

Depends who you're with. Some companies If you under insure you could be subject to an average clause on claims and have the amount covered decreased by the percentage under insured. No point over insuring as it's only market value paid out on policies in the event of a claim (market value or...

Saddle searching - looking for the impossible!!

How big do you jump? I love my Farrington saddle on mine, however it's GP style and I do struggle anything over 3ft or xc as my knees come over the knee rolls at the shorter length I need then at. Given up on a jump saddle as he's too short backed, quit big shoulders and I'm too tall to find...

ID this vehicle anyone? Carriage drivers!

My Bellcrown has the Bellcrown symbol on the centre wheel pieces and on the bottom of the base with the serial number. If you're buying it, ask her to photograph those areas if it has those there. Mines over 10 years old I think but isn't quite like that. Similar, but not quite like it...

On the middle of the wheels on the centre circle, is there a brand/symbol?

ID this vehicle anyone? Carriage drivers!

Looks like some kind of Bellcrown or copy. Mines a badger and looks similar. Don't know when they were made though. There should be a a serial number on the back of the bit on the base where your feet go. That's where mine is anyway.
