I have two 3yr olds
1st one I brought as 1yr old wild, unhandled tb, had reverse trailer into feild to get her out. took about 6 months to get her trust shes been out 24/7 no rugs etc just done the basics with her leading up feet etc now as a 3 yr old she is a very relaxed horse to do things...
Personally I wouldnt get a horse, you sound very busy, im a mum of 3, just starting my own business and thats hard enough without the uni thrown in, I would focus on uni and baby, maybe find a share for now, then look for a horse when your finished uni, good luck with it all :) x
Mine amazes me how tolerant of children she is, we rode past the park so my children could say hello while granny was babysitting we ended up with all the kiddies in the park cuddling her - she loved every minute
Thank you all :)
Cellie - ahh no typical isnt it! Hope hes healing well, totally agree grass is a wonderful thing :D
Texel- I was planning to sell her but cant bring myself to do it! Shes only going to make 15 hh 15.1hh at a push, I do a lot of showing so im hoping a she ll be a nice show hack
Cant quote but agree with clare85 ive also been shocked how many people have gone and brought a horse with little or no knowledge about them.
Ill always remember a lady who came to try my welsh d, she went yo get on from the wrong side, blamed my make of saddle...when I pointed out she was...
