For the the last few years I have done a fair bit of riding for local people in my area, all through word of mouth and quite casually (although paid). If I was to do more of it, and more formally, what sort of insurance would I need to be covered by? I have riders insurance, but wasn't sure if...
There is the whitfield charity horse show that is very close and very lovely. I think that is usually in June. The pony club websites often have more advertised as well :)
Fab thank you, that would be great. As tough as possible is what I am after. I was to lucky receive a lot of lessons and training last year but due to being at University my riding is slipping and I want a tough correct few weeks to get me back on track :)
Hi all,
I just wondered if anyone has any experience of going to Germany or Europe for one or two weeks of intensive dressage training? It is something I would like to do this summer and would like to know of other's people experiences and where they went?
I would like to be on an "intensive...
I do find the ways they interact with each other in the field really interesting to watch etc.
Whenever my pony moves in with a new friend he is ALWAYS horrible and so bossy. He will chase the horse round, continually move them about and not settle. Then it's always the case that about 5-8 days...
I think he actually quite liked it ;) It is mostly a yard of posh event horses and they didn't look very impressed! Although a few friends want them so that's the next project!
Slightly off topic but omg I made a onesie! It's not quite finished as I ran out of thread but I thought I would share it with you all! I'm not even the hugest fan of them but couldn't resist having a go!!
Tashaa however you spell it has known Annie and Jess for a long time, and also won the "win a onesie when you like and share" type competition on facebook...coincidence much?

A horse doesn't need to have good conformation or be eligible to register with a breed society to be a good and useful horse...
My pony is neither (in fact he wasn't even passported) but he is brilliant and suits me perfectly and I am very glad someone once did breed him :)
There are so many...
Fab, I didn't know about any of that!
He has 4 black legs, that are black all the way to the hoof but then white feet and no other white on him (apart from the roanyness). I've not had him tested for anything, I've never really thought too much about it all apart from having a laugh with people...
That is the colouring on his back. His nose, eyes and mane are very apploosa-ish and he is roan everywhere else and getting greyer every year. He is so strange and we have no idea of his breeding or how he got to be the colour he is! I've never seen another with the solid patch on his back...
I have a coloured/spotted (that really is one of life's mysteries) and he is called Marmite ;) As people either love him or hate him! Not sure how to post pictures though!
It definitely worked for me. I bought my pony as nervous wreck no one could get anywhere near (being young I decided that it would be lovely to rescue a poor scared pony and have a fairytale ending ;) ... and he was all that I could afford ) and I broke him myself, did everything myself and all...
