Will the dog play tug and can your brother cope physically? If so, he could use a toy - make it into a favourite with lots of play, then carry it along, and stop for a game at intervals. Short intervals to start!
This is really silly.
The rule says no blood. There was blood. The rule does t say 'some blood' or 'a tiny bit' or 'ok, so long and it was an accident'. So it clearly applies.
If one wanted to be really harsh, you'd argue that a professional world class rider shouldn't be having those sorts...
'Taking the lane' is something cyclists do for safety. If you pull right in, cars try to squeeze past you, leaving you about as much room as you leave yourself - a matter of inches at times. So if you meet me on a single track road - no, I will not cycle in the gutter for your convenience...
Glad I'm not the only one who thought his hands were a little, erm, fixed...
Wow, the final two though! What's the plural of Pegasus? As there now seem to be two...!
I would walk in the opposite direction to the one she pulls in (not into traffic or anything mind you) - the message being nope, pulling will take you further away from whatever it is you want!
I would also work separately on getting her to focus her attention on you, with the goal being that...
We've had a horse charge at us in the field when our dog was on the lead and under close control (not looking at the horses, not pulling, not excitable) - I was not amused. If I'd seen the owner of the horse, I would have said something.
Fortunately it wasn't totally in earnest so I was able...
Sofa yes, beds no. He also has to get off the sofa when told to and if you are on there, he has to wait to be invited. We were getting a bit lax about the latter of those rules, but with a baby on the way we're firming it up again. Not causing any problems so far.
I couldn't have not had him...
We used diluted English mustard to stop our old lab eating their way through a door. We did have to repaint when he grew out of chewing though.
We tried various anti-chew sprays, I'm sure they work for some dogs, but our old boy seemed to like them.... miss him!
Diss is ok but not amazing (I've just moved from there). No idea how the schools are - however it is on the main trainline, so is handy to get to Norwich or London in the other direction. There are some nice villages around the Diss area (we live in one) - but isolated for a non-driver...
Blimey, it's good stuff!
Earlier this year, Spud's behaviour changed. He got grumpy, reluctant to jump into the car, and at one point even snapped. Most unlike him. The vet diagnosed arthritis in his hocks, and recommended Synoquin supplements, and gave us Metacam as a back-up.
Today, he...
Agree, I'd currently be trying to avoid any flash points - so narrow spaces (keep the doors shut), food lying about, toys lying about etc. If you want them to go out, make sure everybody is calm and sitting before you allow this and keep it a controlled process - put the leads on if you need to...
If it's next to a right of way, you have to display warning signs at intervals but if not, crack on I say (well crack on anyway, just with signs if you need them). If someone complains, thank them for letting you know that dogs are harassing your stock and assure them that you will be out there...
