Hi
I'm looking to head to Ireland in the new year to buy a young horse for eventing. I want something 16.1 - 16.3 that can take me novice eventing in a few years. Something that has had a basic education for me to work with and bring on so I'm not looking for something that has just been...
Does anyone have a lorry from Unique Horseboxes in Sussex or have any experience in dealing with them at all? Know anyone who has one?
I'm looking for a 3.5t and their stock seems reasonably priced when compared to the larger, more well known companies.
Thanks
I'm looking for a suitable retirement livery place for my mare. Somewhere with a peaceful setting where she can live in a small group or larger herd environment and will be well looked after. Somewhere is Kent / Surrey / Sussex would be good so that I can make regular visits but for the right...
I've been riding in Solution Saddles for the past 9 years and love them, so does my sensitive event mare. I had a test ride in the Pro range to compare and ended up putting in an order for a jump and dressage for my youngster. I found the Pro range very supportive and the developments they...
Hi
I'll be sending my youngster off for backing and breaking next Spring, hopefully for a future as an event horse.
I was going to send him to my trainer but that isn't possible any more.
I'm based in Kent, does anyone have any recommendations / experiences, good or bad.
Thanks
Really pleased with my One More Tiger foal I bred this year so another vote for him.
My foal won his first Sports Horse foal outing too....
Lovely stallion and a fantastic temperament.
Hi All
I have a colt foal who is being gelded in a few weeks time, he will then stay with mum for about another month and then mum is coming home. Foal will be 7 months at this stage.
They are both out with another mare and foal at the moment although the other foal is much younger so my...
Everything I have tried rubs then mane out, Premier Equine, Weatherbeeta Combo, Masta etc. My mare is a TB with a fine, straight mane and i'm beginning to think that the only way to keep the mane in tact is to go without a neck rug.
It doesn't seem to matter if the rugs are combo all in one...
I'd definitely go for the micronised linseed straight away. Generally advised to feed 25g per 100kg weight of horse. I have increased this slightly as my mare is milking at the moment.
I get mine from Simple Systems.
Hi all
Is anyone on livery at Nurstead Court or does anyone by any chance have the number of the person who runs the livery side of things there?
The website for it hasn't been updated for years and the only number on there is the one for the main function hire etc.
Alternatively does...
I was in a similar situation last year with my mare. It was always my plan to breed my next event horse from her and at 17 I was running out of time. Mare is 16h, 3/4 TB, very capable and pretty feisty but very willing and has a good work ethic. She is a jumping machine but can be quite...
Mare foaled on Saturday morning at 1:10, day 343, a lovely bay colt. It was a textbook delivery and foal was up and sucking in the first hour.
Pictures below (I hope they work),he is by One More Tiger.
I'm so pleased with him.
Absolutely, birthing partners!
I'll tell her tonight that she's in a race to the finish, that might hurry things up a little. It's so annoying that all the signs are there and still nothing happens....
The book I have talks about the colour of the milk in relation to the levels of calcium...
