Mine would and has but it is not something I encourage. What I do is teach speak to a hand signal which has come in handy but one of mine is also very good at finding flashers! Why anyone would want to run around with their whatsit poking out for all to see I have no idea but waving it at my...
I'm afraid beyond being emaciated and in foal I'm not sure what else her needs are.
At the moment they need more practical help than dietary advice they are a long established horse rescue and have vet help and plenty of experience recuperating horses like this one. Sadly the weather has...
I've posted this in the south east forum pages but I know you lot can be generous so there is a mare in foal in need of some extra help I've put all the info I have on this thread:

I wouldn't normally post about these sort of things but I was contacted today by a friend and asked for a bit of help and I know how generous you lot can be so I hope you don't mind me posting this:
Brownbread Horse Rescue in Ashburnham (near Hailsham) East Sussex currently have a mare in foal...
wouldn't recommend them, left us needing our insurance but not paying out. Stick with pet plan at least what you see is what you get. When in doubt ask the vets they will usually give good advice on which pay up and which don't if they won't accept going direct to the company then I wouldn't bother
I haven't read through everything on here its a long thread but given your opening post and subsequent advice that has been given if your not prepared to take it then I can't see why you would ask in the first place.
My horse I'd be moving back to where you could feed hay ad lib even if the...
what a lovely chappy, I'm a great believer that the right dog comes along at the right time... certainly worth a punt they have nothing to lose. You can't ever fill one hole left by a dog with another as they are all different but someone new to love and care for... works a treat.
personally I would have done the very same thing. I can't bare to see an animal suffer and try to stick to the quality over quantity rule of life. Its never easy to make the right decision and only you will know if it was for you.
Sadly with a lot of horses and ponies that go out on loan its out of sight out of mind. You have to have some trust with the people that you are giving your animals too if you no longer want them for whatever the reason.
So sad to see a picture like that :(
At least you did the right thing and he's ok now, just watch his stools over the next few days they can have some dreadful problems with bones making their way through the system :( Most of the time though they do ok.
I just read your thread on FB before coming on here. No wonder your...
isn't the point of a sharer to share? if she isn't turning up isn't helping with the chores then beyond riding for her own pleasure what is she giving to the share??
Why not give her a set regular day and if she fails after a month then call it a day. There might be someone else out there...
Don't panic... it does depend who you are fostering for as each rescue has their own criteria but I'd recommend removing anything thats breakable or that you wouldn't want damaged.
They might check how secure your house and garden are, heights of fences, what other animals or visitors you...
