Thank you all for your comments. Although it doesn't really help the tongue lolling, at least I know I'm not the only one with the problem! Wouldn't change him for the world so looks like I'll just have to put up with it.

My little spanish horse constantly lolls his tongue. He is quite relaxed, but the tongue remains hanging out of his mouth most of the time whilst I'm riding him and sometimes when he is just relaxing out in the field. I've been told that a KK correction bit might help but it is a very expensive...
