I have half a bag of sugar beet which is quite old and unusable. I’m reluctant to take it down the tip as I worry about some type of animal eating it dry and potentially dying. Am I overthinking this? Any other ideas as to how to dispose of it?

We have crab flies in the New Forest which sound similar. Not a home made recipe but I have found Biteback Superfly which comes in a gel or spray the most effective.

If I had somewhere under cover to get ready I would happily ride in the rain but sadly I have to stand in the open in the wind, rain or whatever, and so no.
