I have half a bag of sugar beet which is quite old and unusable. I’m reluctant to take it down the tip as I worry about some type of animal eating it dry and potentially dying.
Am I overthinking this?
Any other ideas as to how to dispose of it?

We have crab flies in the New Forest which sound similar. Not a home made recipe but I have found Biteback Superfly which comes in a gel or spray the most effective.

Just an aside but if you use electric tape, we got a couple of Hozelock reels (one of which was on wheels) from our local recycling centre. They work really well.
