Have you tried "Beddown" ? It's a mixture of shavings and chopped straw and is treated so it's unpalatable. I think it's excellent, easy to use, absorbs well & is economical. I put half a bale in every 3 (occassionally 4) days. I find putting it in half a bale at a time works best. I get it...
