Hello, Does anyone know this livery? I drove past the other day and it looks lovely so just after some info from anyone who would have been stabled there?
my friend is stabled there. She likes it although I wouldnt go there. The school is really nice and big (i think it is 50x20). there are also some jumps but not sure if they are personal ones or yard ones.
the turnout is ok although on the small side, and the yard manager doesn't live on site...
Hi All,
So after yet another day stuck in traffic trying to get to my normal livery yard, I am thinking of moving my boy.
Does anyone know of a part livery yard around Leatherhead/Ashtead/Stoke D'Abernon? I am on a tight budget and my current livery is very cheap so I think I am looking...
Hi Monkeyroo, you can also try Horton Farm in Epsom/ewell (a few people catch the train although it is a good 15 mins walk) and Manor Farm in Claygate (there is a bus not too far away). they both have turnout although at the moment, with all the unusual rain, quite a few places are letting the...
The thing is there is no right answer! Some people dont start jumping their horses until they are 6 while some top show jumpers are already out there doing 1m60 courses at 8! I would think your horse's conformation would have a lot to do with it but even then, some people at my stables...
Hi
I am jumping my 4 year old ISH once a week.
Our jumping is actually more advanced than our flatwork as he is a big horse and struggles to come on the bit, round himself on the flat but seems to know exactly what he has to do over jumps!
As a few others have mentioned, it really depends on...
Hi All,
I am a bit at a loss for things to do with my youngster in Jan now that the hunter trial season is well over!
Does anyone know of any local show jumping shows? I am based in Epsom and willing to drive up to 40mins!
Or any pointers as to how i could find out?
I was also considering...
Hi there, it depends on the weight of your car and its towing capacity. You shouldn't tow more than 85% of the weight of your car and you should be able to find its weight online by looking at its specs
Hi Freisian 76. I am in the area (and used to own a friesian!) Anyways ,there are loads in the area but it would depend on your budget. Horton farm is lovely (although not sure if they have any space at the moment) based in Epsom/Ewell. Manor Farm in Claygate is also really nice. PM me if you...
Hi there,
Welcome to the area!
Really good vets are Mayes & Scrine. I also use Dave as a farrier.
Regarding instructors: for flatwork i would highly recommend Jackie Stevens. Bookham Riding Club isnt too far away and has clinics throughout the year at various locations which would also...
Hi all, I am looking at starting competing my 4 year old in the new year (when he will be 5) in show jumping and eventing. He is showing bags of potential but i have no idea where to even start for young horse classes.
How do you get started? I have joined my local riding club which has...
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone could recommend cross country courses for a novice horse around Espom, ideally up to an hour travel. He is quite young so any experience is good but ideally with "smallish" jumps so around 2'6 for now.
Thanks
