Oh, you are so lucky - my poorlie pony is broken so no team chasing for me until 2009 :-(
Main piece of advice I have is, unless you have a careless horse (in which case you presumably wouldn't be teamchasing anyway) just trust your horse and don't be tempted to haul at him/her if you think...
Oh no, I'm there tomorrow and my mare has sensitive little feet - she's feeling them at the moment and I thought she'd be ok at Smiths Lawn because of the sandy going, the decent ring 1 (and I was told they'd improved the SJ warm up). Gutted :-(
It's annoying me too - on Saturday they said they'd be up on Thursday. I e-mailed them yesterday to ask when they would go up but no reply.
Mind you they always seem slow in comparison to the others - it is very frustrating!
Yes, one of my horses would not jump open ditches. I got one dug in the field and lunged him over it (first without me on him and then with me on him) with a large lunge whip(!!) and just kept repeating this every day until he got the message - never had a problem again after that. Good luck
I have used it with great success. I bought a poor 4 coming 5 year old from Ireland who had 2 sarcoids. I applied Camrosa and they totally disappeared - never to return.
Had a minor hiccup in the PN at Aston le Walls today - a pity as my cautious mare had just started to get the hang of this xc malarky!!
I'm entered in the PN at Mattingley on Saturday, but in view of today I would prefer a skip round the intro just to give her a really easy run. As the event...
It will probably be similar as there is not so much choice of fences on the smaller courses. Tweseldown don't really have a consistent intro sized course - it tends to vary quite a bit with some smaller fences and some decent intro fences e.g. a decent table, hayrack etc. There won't be...
I'll check with her, but should imagine it will be the PAVO 6 yr old champs. However, the poor boy needs a few more PN runs under his belt before he upgrades and as he's either ballotted out or the events are cancelled that is not so easy to achieve!
Challon belongs to my friend Zoe. He is 6 this year and is the loveliest, most chilled out stallion you'll ever meet - last year was his first year out at BE and he qualified for the 5 yr old champs at Tweseldown and has got off to a fab start this year with a second at munstead.
He has a...
Oxfordshire is a really big county. Hambledon is in South Oxfordshire about 10 mins up the road from me. Great Tew is North Oxfordshire and takes me well over an hour in a box, (and is further off the motorway than Hambledon) so I'd plan your route carefully before entering.
The Warwickshire Hunt Teamchase - due to be held in Banbury today has been cancelled due to the weather. Just wanted to check you all knew because the secretary did not call us to let us know and don't want anyone to have a wasted journey.
Gutted :-(
