I had an A3 as a company car and I'd never consider towing with it. It might be fine in perfect conditions but perfect conditions rarely exist in the real world. I don't think it would be able to stop a loaded trailer very quickly and in an emergency I'd be worried about the trailer coming...

I was talking to my boy's breeder this week, and we got to chatting about what he was like as foal. As a grown horse, he's very noisy and likes to 'chat'. Apparently he's been like it since day one and his dam is the same.

I've found that most geldings actually seem to enjoy it once they realise it feels nice!

I would get her tested for Lyme disease and have her thyroid checked too.

I'd also say to wear gloves! The smell clings to your hands- ick! I bought a box of arm length gloves and use those.

The willy basically has a little pocket in the end. Gunk can build up in there and form a bean. It can make the horse uncomfortable peeing, so they're best removed. The bean can get really big if it's not removed. If you look on youtube, there's lots of good vids.

Some need doing more often than others. I use KY on my boy's bits. A good squirt before a hack then a rinse with the hose when we get back. Don't forget to check for a bean!

What does everyone do with the plants once you've got them up? The yard owner usually burns it but it makes me nervous!

Yes, after every fall. I also get a new one every five years regardless. (Check the label in a new hat so you know how old it it- the foam degrades so a five year old hat isn't as safe as a 5 month old hat.)
