I have (possibly foolishly) decided that I will take my dog camping with me when I go to the Lake District in July. Can you knowledgable lot give me some ideas on what I will need for the mad spangle to accomodate him comfortably in my 2 person tent......and what I have let myself in...
I am no expert, but I have always been told no more than 10 mins per month of their lives until they are full grown at any one time to avoid stressing / damaging joints and growing bones. So for a 4 month old that would be no more than 40 mins at one time!
I am 'between' horseboxes at the moment, but should be sorted by the end of Nov, so was thinking about delivering it and charging only for fuel costs. There are bolts that could be lost, but are easily obtainable, so it wouldn't be the end of the world - I guess I'd charge for any lost bits at...
I am based in the South East - and the Round pen can be moved very easily - it takes me 20 mins on my own to move it from one location to another - much less if I have someone to help.
My horse has recently needed to be turned out in a round pen as part of his rehabilitation - I needed one for 5 months (he tends to walk through other fencing and HAD to be kept in a really limited area) so decided to invest in one. Now he is on less restricted turnout and I no longer use...
Hi
Can anyone shed any light on my dog's behaviour - he is a 15 month old working cocker and in the last few days he has started becoming very destructive ( well for him anyway!). He is chewing and subsequently destroying all his bedding / my clothes that he can get hold of. He seems to be...
Thanks for all the suggestions do far - I am fully aware there is no way I can travel both my boys in a 3.5 tonne, hence the difficulty finding a suitable alternative!! If only the fat ned didn't throw himself on the floor when travelling forward or herringbone life woudl be soooo much easier!
Hi
I am in the process of trying to buy a 2 horsebox to transport my neddies around but it is not as straight forward as you might think!
Ideally I need something with a 2 tonne payload (min) and that will accomodate my 17.2 with a high head carriage! It ideally needs to be rear facing (fat...
Thanks for the suggestions so far - I want to introduce oil into his diet anyway, but he is fussy bugger, so will do so very slowly. Am planning to keep him out as much as possible as he is a bit stressy in the stable so will also ensure he has plenty of good grass which I guess will help
I have recently acquired a TB who is a pooor doer and needs quite a bit of condition putting on. Can anyone recommend a feed that gives the condition without the'fizz'. Apparently he isn't keen on calm and condition (previous owner tried that!) Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks
M
Is she food orientated? If so, how about making uyp a series of small fibre based feeds that can be given to her when it is busy - I did this for my boy and asked anyone who saw him getting stressy to pop one in - It worked for him. Also snack balls are great, and I found leaving a radio on...
I have a new horse arriving on thursday that I have to buy a wardrobe for!! He is coming with nothing, but I have a vast supply of tack (from previous horses & friends) the only thing I am lacking is a lightweight turnout. As the weather forecast for the end of the week is not too brill...
