I have two Welsh D’s one is hairier than the other but can get a connection on both, use plenty of gel and I find if I do it up then put pressure on the disc bit and wriggle the the green lights appear, i then hold in place with a bandage over the top.

I have emailed horsemart, probably won’t make a difference. Personally have not had dealings nearly did a couple of years ago but something didn’t sit right thank goodness.
I think it depends as with all riding hats if it fits the shape of your head, I would always try and go to somewhere that has a few makes and have one fitted.
I would invest in a good 50g rug and get a liner that you can up it with if necessary. This year and rain has been relentless - I have always turned out all day no matter what the weather but have been just putting them out for a few hours and bringing in, they look miserable in the field even...
