thanks for all your replies. Its not really too important that she has a neck cover, she is clipped but its really not that cold here, we are lucky on the south coast, doesnt snow. She normally wears it so I can keep her clean. Hopefully I have caught it early enough and its put me off combos...

I just hope it thickens out a bit, I rode her on sunday and didnt notice anything, then tonight its really bare and falling out

well I have got a standard rug on her 2night and will do same 2mora, bloody typical shes grey and we have our first dressage comp in 2 weeks. Im gonna have a bold yellow horse!!! OOOHHH NOO!!

Hi I noticed tonight that my mare has a bolding patch on her mane, its about 1/4 way up her neck and was wondering if it could be caused by her full neck rug rubbing. There is no redness or scabby skin, the hair is just very thin. Anyone else encountered the same thing?

oh hes beautiful i love his markings. Ive tried a white saddle cloth on my mare for my local annual show and it really didnt suit her as she is pure white (yellow at the mo tho, hehe)
