Wolf teeth and effect of removal

My cob had his wolf teeth out at 7 years old. The Dentist did it and I've always been told that EDT's are much better at horses teeth than Vets. It was no big deal to remove and made a difference to how he was on the bit.

New saddle - where to buy

Had my TB for two months and he's a keeper. He's rising 4 so changing shape still. We've a saddle on loan but could do with sorting him his own. After a bit of searching I think the Thorowgood T8 GP would be a good suit and with adjustable gullets it should work with his changing shape...

    Legal requirements for Muck heaps??

Honetpot is spot on, he shouldn't be claiming SFP on land he rents out. Seperate matter is the muck heap, it shouldn't be a permanent fixture of more than 12 months. I mean there shouldn't be a temporary muck heap in the same place for more than a year. Regardless of how old the actual manure...

This years hay - when is it ok to feed?

The biggest reason for not feeding hay immediately is in case there is any damp which will cause mould. If you know the hay was good and dry when baled then it will be fine.

    riding a driving horse!

Our 13.2hh cob was a driving pony doing trials driving. He can be very forward going and although we started him in a snaffle, this was fine for road hacking we needed something stronger for grass. We tried a gag which helped on grass but he then wouldn't jump. He is now in a Wilkie snaffle. He...

    Dog Sitters!

My mum does home boarding and charges £13 a night for the first dog and £9 each for any others. But I think she is very cheap comparatively.

We had a dog holiday at a lovely cottage in Brancaster in Norfolk. Cobble Cottage. Ideal. Had a little enclosed courtyard. Several pub/restaurants in walking distance and and of the most stunning expanses of beach I've ever seen. Perfect for a doggy holiday. You're also a short distance to...

Decent Camera @ decent price for motion shots!

I'll second that. I have a Canon 600D SLR which is amazing but quite bulky so I have my Panasonic Lumix compact camera too. The modes are brilliant and it has a 16 x optical zoom.
