Hi,
I'm having trouble looking for some new spurs, the ones I currently wear are children's spurs as I'm only 4'11" so normal spurs flop around on my feet as they're teeny.
Secondly I only use really short necked spurs but I'm thinking about rollerball spurs.
I wonder if anyone could suggest...
I'm 4'11" own a 14.2 and a 13hh I look a right sight mounting, a bit like a drunk seal climbing a flight of stairs. I'm only 22 as well :D what is you opinion of me then?
I bought my 14.2hh pony as I'm 4'11 and I thought she was 16.2 as I couldn't see her back without straining. When I got home I realised I had been short changed (literally) and am now lumbered with an obstinate, overly good doer that is extremely hairy. :D CONNED I WAS
a tea towel for polishing coat
a hair treatment mask for before shows
a ladle to mix feeds
wilko suncream
endless amounts of sudocrem
foundation brush for highlights when out showing :D
For years and years I've kept my big native mare out without a rug and on very minimal feed. She is happiest this way but recently she is starting to feel a bit older now she's 22. Her weight has always been a bit changeable, but it has been worse at the moment, sometimes she can be a little bit...
This is me on Milton who is 13/13.1 I'm only 4 foot 11 and this is me with long stirrups. He has a thorowgood gp now which I highly recomend he's a 16.5 and he does a bit of everything
Basically relearning how to ride properly after spending the past few years pottering on my aged mare. My little sis taught me (I'm no natural) and she's only 15 :) I've spent years and years watching her win loads and do real well. I trained with my sis every day, no proper riding lessons, no...
I'm glad my mare isn't the only colour changing beastie :) looking at photos she seems to go from gold, then nearly blood red and now dark bay, it is useful for knowing which year a photo was taken though :D
I think it may be a thicker coat but when she first changed I kept looking across the field and mistaking her for another horse of the same colour :D it wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't owned her for 10 years.
I have my lovely bay veteran mare out 24/7 bare and I have noticed how her colour seems to be changing with here age. When I first had her her summer coat was like a gorgeous amber colour that would fade to a really pale bay in the sun, on top of this she was ( and still is) covered in dapples...
Second primark tops, they come in nice colours and its note worth paying 30 quid on something you can't see and they you can wear pale jods. I would choose a colour to match the stuff you already have to make it cheaper. You could always liven it up with some of those nice bright little...
I've heard that the number of times a horse flips over when rolling predicts the amount of days of good weather. So if the horse flips only once tomorrow will be fine but it will be cold the day after.
Oh yeah I remember you thread on the colour of your show jacket. I love doing dressage in tweed and canary you stand out in a good way :)
Good look for your show :)
