I kept my horse barefoot for a long while and used bactocert once a week to help maintain strength/reduce cracks/splits and keep out infections. Really kept his feet in good order!
Bactocert is basically an antiseptic disinfectant spray so you can probably lay your hands on something similar...
The only reason the vet warned me of such changes to my horses behaviour was because he was really sensitive to change, and he was quite highly strung because of his breeding. They didn't really warn me of any of this until after his overnight stay in the vet hospital where he got pretty...
I think it is just leather. I agree that its not all about how things look so long as it does what you need it to do! However its not my cup of tea lol. I'm sure someone will like it, seems a waste to bin it!
Sounds a similar story to me!
My horse was diagnosed with uveitis in november, prescribed maxitrol drops 3 times a day, bit of a hassle getting it in. I hear that a lavage system is the best way to ensure drops are getting in properly over a long term period but it maybe expensive; unsure!

Do any of you work as an equine nutritionist?
My course at uni will open up a broad spectrum of possible career paths in the future depending on which modules I chose to study in 3rd and 4th year (will have to choose some of these in the next few months). I am just putting feelers out to see...

Peoples thoughts on coloured tack please? ~
My friend gave me a baby blue bridle, I always intended on selling however I am not sure how much it would be worth? It is fairly padded and isn't too tarnished either. Not sure how common these are in full size, couldn't find one to compare a price...
Searching for an old pony I had the use of!
Came from the dealer Tom Dunbar to a riding school I worked at in Kilsyth.
Passported as Lunesdale Jupiter, think he was around 6 or 7 at the time we had him so must be around 11 or 12 now. Once belonged to Ruth Copeland-wing I believe; curious of...
My horse used to fret in his stable at my old yard, even when other horses were in too, he'd rear up at the door and try to barge his way out. At times he would get quite dangerous, perhaps because his stable was very gloomy, and even though it was long it was probably slightly too narrow. So I...
I could use some advice please!
I have had a Dutch Warmblood for three years who was a speed jumper from Holland in his day. As you can imagine he has plenty of spirit!
When he is calm our flat work is pretty good in canter working in a nice outline and managing balanced flying changes...
