    Horse-mad childhood memories :)

Oh how much this has brought back!! I too was a pony-less child longing that one day I would wake up to a pony grazing in the garden! Car journeys were cross country courses. Long lining my brother was an every day occurrence. Jill pony books were my bible. My grandma's...

Anyone ride with an instrumental fusion? Help please.

Hi Henmother, Don't worry about your posture, balance or in fact anything at this early stage. I was distraught because I couldn't even sit in a balanced position at first. I over did it at 8 months and suffered greatly for it. Spend time with your horse, walk before you try to run or trot...

Anyone ride with an instrumental fusion? Help please.

Hi Henmother, I ride with an L4/5 S1 fusion which was done a year and a half ago now, , but it takes an age to heal properly. I got back on after about 8 months and found that all balance, movement, posture and flow had gone out of the window. I have been back to school and literally had to...

Hi all, My 12 year old mare has started with symptoms of ulcers, I will be getting the vet out as soon as he can make it to check my suspicions but in the meantime I wanted to do my homework and was wondering if any of you knew of a product readily available in NW France to ease digestion and...

Pony has Lice - advice please!

Sorry forgot to mention that I did remove quite a bit of her coat on her neck and withers (worse infected area) using a shedding blade (she is a Welshie X so coat was really thick and it was January). I couldn't clip as she was terrified of the noise but it worked a treat. I just made sure that...

Itchy Horse - any ideas, at my wits end!

My vet was happy with me using both at the same time. He is a great horse vet and rides competition horses and treats them all the time so I trust him. Also Vaseline over the area is a great barrier, it suffocates the mites/lice and helps no end in relieving the itching. Good luck. x
