    Gundog people

I swapped horses for gundogs too, horses are still here but are retired lawnmowers. My dogs are having a holiday whilst my heart heals after it's op!

Trying to find a bed for a large greyhound.

Clodagh bought secondhand cot matresses on marketplace and used them for her lurcher. People are often happy to give them away as you use a new one even if you reuse the cot. Just pop a cover on them and replace as necessary.

    Gun dog training book

Another recommendation for Lez Graham, Ben Randalls gundog app is supposed to be good, Laura Hill, Advanced retriever training is excellent as a next step. Most importantly find a good trainer who you click with and like their methods, train 121 and in a class.

'Dropped' just means outside the body rather than a massive pair of hairy baubles swinging about!. So if you can feel them then they're def outside the body as otherwise you wouldn't feel anything. They will remain small, neat and tucked up high, but outside the body, until adolescence when...

Different attitudes to putting dogs to sleep

I had a dog PTS on Fri, she looked at me and I knew that it was time. I absolutely didn't want her to get to the point of collapse. It was a lovely sunny day so I took her out for a lovely potter around then made the call. Whilst I was with the lovely vet we discussed how as humans it's our...

    Sleep well Lily Squid
