That's lovely, and very relatable.
I'm pretty sure every night this week I've either told Harry I love the bones of him, or sung his praises to anyone who'll listen.
Maybe it's something to do with the lighter evenings 😉 if not, I'm getting softer in my old age 🤣🤣
Hi, we switched our dog over to raw a few months ago, and I'm so glad we did. He's gone from having little interest in dry food to wolfing his meals down. The brand we're using is Natural Instinct - I can't fault them. https://naturalinstinct.com/
I used it for a while when there was a shortage of small flake shavings locally. Decent price, easy to muck out, but the bed lacked the absorbency and fluff of a shavings beds.
Yep - In the past I've used Equimin's Stable Fresh which worked well. Just now (for cost saving) during the day when the beds are up, and the floors are bare while the horse is out, I give the mats a quick spray with diluted Zoflora.
I'd ask for nothing but accept what they offer, be it lunch, a bottle of wine, £10 towards fuel etc. But if there's nothing, be quieter to offer the next time.
What a bonnie lad. We've got an 18mth old boy WGR, Ruaridh. He's been an absolute saint to train, always looking for a job, great around horses and has the all important off-switch. Just today I messaged his breeder to say whenever she plans a next litter to pop us on the wait list. They're...
Typically three times a day. Once in the stable before turn out (saves having to clean shavings from the yard), when I bring him in before riding, then a final time and coat of effol before tucking him in for the night.
I, not too long ago, came off at speed at a cross country clinic, resulting in bruised ribs and a concussion. With hindsight, I probably shouldn't have driven us home afterwards ? And a gnarly looking toenail from where my chunk of a Highland planted himself on my foot back when I was a youngster.
I'd never thought to educate a person on foot before until reading this thread. We were hacking back home yesterday when a woman with her dog started to hide in the bushes. I explained that staying in clean sight of Harry was best and that he was a panic-merchant. She couldn't have been happier...
