Hello, I am wanting to enter my mare in the ID sport horse classes at Bakewell Show in August and was wondering if anyone can tell me what the show is like? It will be the biggest show we have been to and I know there will be a lot of other non horsey stuff going on but would appreciate some...
Good luck, don't forget to breathe and have fun! :D I can relate to the nerves as I always sleep bad before an outing but so far it's always been worth it :)
My 5 year old mare can do this and she occasionally takes it a step further and actually braces back slightly. She is much better than she was last year though and depending on what mood she is in is to whether or not I have to just wait her out or am able to ride her straight on. It's easier...

Is your horse Ernie the milkman? We were there watching my brother and saw your sj and xc. Really liked your horse! Well done :)
(Am hoping I got the right person lol)

I've had mine pierced about 10 years now and it isn't a problem with my hat. It hurt like hell at the time though, couldn't sleep on it for weeks, but then I am a bit of a wuss too.
ETA, I have a stud in.
I didn't and I really wish I had done. It's the one thing I regret more than anything. When my mum stayed for our old cob who had to be PTS by inj, the vet told her just to look away when he was about to go down, she did and then when she looked back he was just on the floor. She said it wasn't...
I would like to be able to hack Tia out on her own confidently, more often, and to have overcome her current blip of not being happy coming in on her own on occasions. I also want to continue lessons with her & progress with her flatwork as I am toying about registering BD next year. More...
