I've already done a large livery yard, stud and vets. the job requirements were within my capabilities but I was just disappointed with varying aspects and quite shocked.

I wont mention names on here, but I was very shocked after going for a trial with a top competition rider, to find a very poorly run and stressful yard. Is that really the kind of environment you would want your horses to be around? How can you tell the good employers apart from the bad?

I usually for whatever reason in my head believed it would take a week to take effect. As I have previously posted, I was feeding for weight control of a native living out, I then ran out and realised I should change from Epsom salts to magnesium oxide.

Okay on further assessment, I cant help but think my saddle is too narrow. His previous saddle was too wide and had started to slip. This saddle hasnt moved whilst riding yet, however it just looks slightly low at back and too much room in front.

My rising 6yo is schooling, hacking and jumping a small fence now and then. I would like him to still be fit, healthy and competing into his 20's so there's no rush for us. We might hit our prime at 15 rather than 8 but I can handle that :)
