    Sore Roxie Dog

We’re currently doing kids bedtimes but I’ll give her a big snuggle afterwards. She’s been snuggled in my husbands office all day and apparently been content.

    Sore Roxie Dog

Thank you, it’s horrible to see her like that. She’s shaking/quivering this evening. I don’t know if she’s in pain or if it’s a reaction to the gabapentin. She had her first dose of it this morning but my husband was home with her not me and he didn’t mention it.

    Sore Roxie Dog

That’s good to know, thanks :) They haven’t. I’ll be pushing for that if she doesn’t pick up.

    Sore Roxie Dog

Apparently she had a tumble at doggy daycare on Friday but carried on running etc. as normal so they didn’t think anything of it until I asked if they’d noticed anything. Interesting idea on the stomach muscles, I’ll suggest that to the vet! She’s definitely in pain somewhere, I just don’t...

    Sore Roxie Dog

Poor Roxie has been in the wars and hurt herself somehow. She is very stiff behind with a short gait, but not visible lameness in terms of limping since Saturday. Ended up taking her to the emergency vet on Sunday evening as I was worried about spinal problems. We went back to our normal...

    DIY livery close to Worplesdon

You could try Bonnishot farm in Worplesdon. Hacking is over whitmoor common, so not the most exciting, but there’s not great hacking around worplesdon in general. The best local hacking is around ash ranges- so look at places around Pirbright and Ash.

"Dogs walk faster than us"Fact: no, they don't. They run faster than we walk.

I to get Roxie to walk this morning and she would do it for short periods, but clearly wanted to be going faster. Maybe something to practice!

Off lead dogs approaching on lead dog 😖

Thank you! I’ll let you know if I ever need backup!

Why your breed appealed to you?

Roxie is a dachshund x JRT. I wanted something small that would snuggle on the sofa but be athletic enough to enjoy good walks. She definitely fits into what I wanted, and has turned out to be a fabulous family dog too. When she goes I’d choose something different as I’d like a slightly less...

Off lead dogs approaching on lead dog 😖

Love the image of you waving the pole 😆 yes I probably couldn’t manage a pole with the pram, I’ll have a think about what I could do to keep dogs away!
