I’m so pleased we did it. She’s still a bit wobbly and weak but 100x happier. Crate rest for at least 4 weeks. Back at week 2 for physio and week 4 for a checkup and we’ll go from there.

She’s walking really well too! She trotted over to me at the vets. I’m so relieved and happy. Fingers crossed for the next 6 weeks 🤞

She definitely does! They said they were amazed with how stoic she was before the surgery as the amount of stuff that came out of the disc was impressive. I’ve always thought she was a bit of a princess, but I’ve been proved wrong! I’m stocking up on treats for her for when she gets home.

I had an update call from the vets this morning and she’s doing really well! They weren’t expecting her to be on her feet today but she is walking which is amazing! She’s off her food but will eat cooked chicken so she’s getting the royal treatment. Apparently the IV meds can make them feel a...

It’s a 2hr round trip which isn’t really doable with the kids. I think me going and leaving here there would make her upset too. They’ve sent an email with photo updates and she looks comfortable so I’m happy to leave her there without a visit.

Probably until Monday as she needs IV painkillers and may be very immobile for a couple of days. I can’t wait to get her home!

Still no news, I’m on tenterhooks and the kids are very crabby. I think they’re feeding off my stress.

I didn’t sleep much last night. They said yesterday that she’s first up this morning and they’ll call me when she’s back in her kennel 🤞

I’m so upset and full of what if’s, but I’ve done everything the vets have recommended when they’ve suggested it. I feel I should have pushed for the imaging last week though. .
