Thank you - I had thought of him, but I'm wanting to put to a fairly chunky pony mare to get a small warmblood type/large pony without too much pony characteristic. I'm afraid that if I got colour people wouldn't be able to see past the 'small and coloured' and would only think pony, not...
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me because I'm really struggling.
Recommendations for a smaller warmblood stallion with dressage breeding please? Needs to be UNDER 16h2, modern[not too chunky] and with a good hind leg and canter. Not too long in the back either. And available to...
They are fantastic boots...we use them to keep poultices on the hooves of horses who are actually living out 24/7 - and they actually work! Have never had one come off, even on the youngsters who hooly around the field all the time. The soles haven't worn at all, although a couple of the straps...
I've been looking after my yard [3 of my own horses, and 5 liveries plus 4 out ponies]] on my own with some local help. However, I'm now faced with having to look after my sick husband almost full time and think I need to employ someone to do the yardwork instead of me. I'll be on hand for...
Dear God, I've just found out the price. For the mesh alone, it is £8 per metre. That doesn't include the posts, rails, and labour costs!
I think it may have to be the Tornado mesh and lined with chicken wire or similar!
Faberge, I was thinking of Caesar who I fell in love with some time ago! I just have a notion that he would really complement her especially as she seems to reliably stamp her foals with an extremely uphill frame. The only criticism of her, and I'm not entirely sure it is a criticism any more...
Thanks for your reply TarrSteps. that is my dilemma....I want to produce professional quality! My mare is by Gribaldi out of a Rohdiamant mare, so her lines are good but not necessarily small. Her previous foals look to be mirroring the stallion's height, maybe a bit smaller. Around 16h1, where...
Hi All
I have a super small Kwpn brood mare. Both her sire and dam sire rank very high on the dressage stallion rankings and both competed very successfully at international GP. In fact, so did her grandsires! Before an accident she had a super trainable temperament.
Anyway, my dilemma is...
Oh, what an exciting thread!
I have two reasons to be excited for 2013! Both by Woodlander Supertramp :)
Very very excited, especially as both mares have had excellent foals in the past!!!
Hi - my question is:
Has anyone used Keepsafe Fencing and is the mesh spacing small enough to stop foal hooves from getting stuck ?
http://www.thefenceline.co.uk/keepsafe_horse_fence.html
The plan is to use it in a small turnout area for when the paddocks are dangerous with mud, ice...
Ooh, thank you all so far for the encouragement! When I started this thread I wasn't looking for anyone to offer to take him on, but just to see if it could be possible or if people would look at me in horror!
I don't think I would sell him though - unless I could be sure it was a super home...
Hi - I'm new to the forum and jumping in with a question! Hope a few of you will take time to reply to me with your thoughts. Sorry for it being a long post!
I have a young warmblood bred for dressage, who has damaged his hind suspensory a couple of years ago. Hardly shows any ill effects...
