Saddle fitting experts - your advice please!

This is also with the girth done up very tight - tighter than I really like having to do it up.

Saddle fitting experts - your advice please!

It remains dead straight in walk and trot on both reins. Yes it goes to the outside in both directions (one way worse than the other over onto the spine) the saddle fitter has seen this and said its the horse loading me over and bringing the quarters in. Fair enough you can see he is quarters in...

    Saddle fit 'problems'.....your advice please

Yes it happens on both reins in canter only but one way is worse than the other. It's clear from the videos he is definately cantering quarters in but it's scary that that could cause the saddle to move so much and make him so sore.

    Saddle fit 'problems'.....your advice please

It was the physio who noticed the differences in the back panels.... Both vet and physio agree the horse is sound and evenly muscled. The saddle fitter was adamant the saddle fits and that it's 'the horses fault' There's no denying his quarters are coming in in canter and loading...

    Saddle fit 'problems'.....your advice please

I've had trouble with landing on the correct leg with my horse on one rein when jumping. Video analysis also shows in walk and trot he is straight but in canter is going quarters in and tipping me and the saddle over to the outside (even as far as the panel over onto his spine!) His physio...

Where to go from here - Vet? Physio? Chiro? or a good instructor

Update! Vet came out again - no lameness at all seen on flexion or lunge which seems to suggest the other day was a bit of a red herring. The vet did say he was sore behind the saddle are and has injected his SI and lumbar region. We are now on a steady 6 week plan back to normal work. So...

    Feeding magnesium/ Equine America magnitude

What were the symptoms your horses exhibited? Going off the past couple of years my boy appears much worse in winter despite being on a high fibre diet, turnout and decent enough work (1 hour 5 days a week) he can also be almost 'marish' in winter time eg a bit grumpy/face pulling. Gets very...

    Feeding magnesium/ Equine America magnitude

How would you find out if a horse was mg deficient? He grazes clay based land if that makes a difference?

Where to go from here - Vet? Physio? Chiro? or a good instructor

Soulful - Thankyou for the reply. What a sad story :( can you explain what DSD is? It's something I've never heard of before? I rode my boy on the flat last night - first 20 mins were tense and daft but after that he settled lovely (I'm trying to up his work a little to see if he chills out...

Where to go from here - Vet? Physio? Chiro? or a good instructor

I'm in a bit of a hard place with this. The scans really did not look convincing (even the vet said the slight disruption in fibres could be due to the nerve block and even then he had to really look for it) and my gut feeling is we are barking up the wrong tree..... All his other symptoms...

Where to go from here - Vet? Physio? Chiro? or a good instructor

It's so difficult isn't it? Especially when things like insurance come into play.... This very small slight lameness was seen off the back of a flexion test which given he's 12 years old doesn't seem hugely worrying - especially when he was scanned and the only tiny disruption to the fibres...

    General Anaesthetic

My boy had a general anaesthetic - hes a very big lad so was really worrying over it. I went to see him on the evening of his surgery day expecting a fed up, rough looking horse - he was as bright as a button and you really couldnt tell anything had happened to him :)
