I don't think I would have ridden through, even though you are within your right to do so. I'd be too worried about the risk of injury to my horse, or the horses in the field. I think I would pop round to the yard on foot, and ask them if they would be happy you using the alternative route...

Gerd Heuschmann. Undoubtedly. But I'd also request someone with me at all times to record EVERYTHING that was said and done. There is no way I could take in a months worth of information, and retain anything of use! I'd need another 6 months after just rewatching and trying to learn it all :p

Well done! My YM was in the Int, and walking the course made me feel queasy! Incredibly strong Int that caused a lot of problems for some very experienced horse and rider combos. You must be thrilled. If you follow Uptown Eventing, they've posted some lovely photos from the Int today on...

I'm not sure whether they're open at the moment, but Ickworth park, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Used by the pony club. Has everything from telegraph poles on the ground right through to big (scary!) jumps. Has a nice in-out water, teeny tiny banks and pheasant feeders etc. If I'm brave...
