I need some help with regard to barefoot!

My horse is shod on all 4s, I did try barefoot but didn't keep it up due to a very lengthy reason involving going away for schooling which I won't get into now. His shoes last on average about 4/5 weeks, this being because where we live it is literally half hour of roadwork before u get to...

    Going back to barefoot...

Or unshod as I call it!!... My horse coped well without shoes and had very tough feet for the first 5 months then I had to send him off to be re schooled - very traditional place- wouldn't work with him unless metal shoes in place- Que a very confused owner- after much deliberating I put the...

Have you ever bought a horse and shortly after wondered if you'd made a big mistake?

He's not been mounting nor has he been aggressive toward other geldings and he hasn't taken an ounce of interest in one of the other 4 mares so I doubt he's a rig. thank you for all the ideas tho I will pass them on, it's just a bit worrying when you see a horse doing that!

Have you ever bought a horse and shortly after wondered if you'd made a big mistake?

Have you ever bought a horse and shortly after wondered if you'd made a big mistake?

My best friend recently bought a cob, off a whim, not a bad price, she was looking for another but bought him more because she felt sorry for him(owner was a bit of a case- always drinking not looking after him- we knew them vaguely.) anyway said cob is here now and he has taken a shine to...

    Still looking to buy...

My friend is still looking for the perfect equine friend, her specs were, min 14.2 max 16hh, over 3 under 7, not fussy on colour etc. We've come across a nice mare- 4 year old beautiful temperament - unspoilt, had nothing done apart from walking out and attention. So a blank canvas so to say...

Anyone got a mare that seems constantly a bitch?!

My friends welshie is constantly a really nasty mare. She's no different in or out of season just generally a moody madam! Hates other horses hates people hates being ridden(nappy grumpy etc) nothing physically wrong with her. Need to look at supplements whst would u suggest ?!
