    Insurance Emporium

Just to echo - they're the only company that provided me with a reasonable quote and they paid out £4.5k vet bill with no issues. They also removed an exclusion after receiving a couple of letters from my vet. Haven't renewed yet since the £4.5k claim so fingers crossed for the renewal price.

    Wellies for uber-wide feet!

I found these to be wide and extremely comfortable (and especially warm in the winter). https://muckbootcompany.co.uk/collections/mens-tall-boots/products/mens-chore-classic-hi-patterned-wellington-black

    Finding new rides?

Didn't know this, that's good. I use outdooractive.com to plan/track routes. In Essex we have East Anglian Farm Rides (farmrides.com) which provides off road hacking - I think similar schemes operate in other areas of the country and these routes won't be shown on OS maps.

Best no fill for a hot horse.

I've just dug out my one of these - https://gsequestrian.co.uk/collections/turnout-rugs/products/horseware-ireland-rambo-summer-series-turnout-0g-aaaa6s-bj00?variant=4753395089441 Extremely airy and lightweight - I use it at the height of summer if I need a rain sheet. But it doesn't have leg...

    Groomi Tool

I have one, it's fine and does the job. But I like the look of this one when the time comes to replace it - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0816BZP8V

Other livery’s saying you should do your horse Christmas Day , Boxing Day and Christmas Eve ?

Looks like such a service does sometimes exist - http://www.rugbypoloclub.com/livery/ I suppose it depends on whether the yard is a proper professional yard or an amatuer-commercial yard type arrangement.

    Tack Cleaning

I've settled on Horseman's One Step. I have a big stack of cheap microfiber cloths and give the tack a wipe over with that whenever it gets wet or once every week or two. Quick and easy.

    Stable camera without WiFi

One option would be to pick up a cheap android mobile phone and get a data sim. You'd also need a mobile phone USB battery pack. And then and app, maybe something like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam&hl=en_US.

Buying off fb selling pages - what if it doesn't arrive??

You'll get your money back, but it won't happen overnight because the process gives the seller a certain amount of time to respond to the dispute being raised. In answer to your other point, PayPal (and Ebay) values buyers much higher than sellers. It isn't fair but they will generally find in...

    deleted

I spoke to SEIB about the BHS insurance when I was looking at options for horse insurance. From memory, the BHS T&C's were something along the lines of "anyone else in control of the horse on an occasional basis". I checked with SEIB that it would cover someone riding maybe once a month and...

Best gloves for winter yard work?

I settled on these when I worked on a yard - https://www.shiresequestrian.com/rider/riding-essentials/gloves/all-purpose-yard-gloves They are not water proof but they are thin enough that you can do everything in them (including tack up). I had several pairs on the go at once and when they...

    Horsebox hire SLI insurance

I am hiring a horse box for the day and as usual there are pages of T&Cs resting liability for damage and theft on me. Is anyone aware of any SLI insurance providers for hiring 3.5t horse boxes please to provide me with some peace of mind?
