Five year old running at intermediate

I don't know - the horse I was talking about definately hasn't run a dozen times - he'd run three novices in the spring, and hadn't run again until aston in August. Might have been another horse they were talking about!

Five year old running at intermediate

Baydale I agree - young event horse classes, including lycetts ones, are hardly over taxing, and I'd say far better to run at affiliated event on prepped ground rather than unaffiliated on rubbish ground! Personally I'd rather run BS or BE for good courses and ground any day. - you can't...

Five year old running at intermediate

I wasn't talking about Sam's horse - but you're right, its entirely up to the horse as to when you run!

Five year old running at intermediate

To be fair I've looked at the record and its only run seven times so far this season - in the spring, then a gap of three months before running again in the autumn. Saw it out at Purston IN, and it jumped like they weren't there, both showjumping and XC, so fair play really provided she's...

How to report old/unwell looking carriage horses in windsor?

thanks for that. I know - I'm amazed. I'm sure even if you weren't particularly horsey you'd realise they're not in good nick. You'd think in Windsor of all places they'd be particularly tough on regulating it - but apparently not!!

How to report old/unwell looking carriage horses in windsor?

I was in Windsor for the day and saw a horse and carriage on the carriage rank - the horse was obviously old, and in pretty poor condition - i don't think it should've been working. Does anyone know who I'd report it to? I've thought about it for ages and I really think something ought to be done!

    Smiths Lawn Event?

I've been too and agree its twisty - but personally think for a young horse that needs to learn the course is useful - the fences aren't huge and don't pose a massive challenge, but they've got to focus on what you're asking rather than just gallop along in the open. I've heard on the...
